The first 24"
cellular primary has arrived at Dream. |

The rendering to the left shows the 24"
f3.5 Dream Astrograph on a Paramount
ME robotic mount. |

The views on this page show one of the 10'x12' roll-off
observatories currently being built at Sierra
Remote Observatories in California. |

A FLI PL-16803 (38.6mm x 37.8mm, 4096 x 4096, 16.8Mp)
CCD camera and FLI CFW-5-7 (seven 50mm square filter, filter
wheel) are shown attached to the telescope. |
The actuated primary mirror covers, in the open position,
are also shown. |
|
|
|
This view shows the telescope parked on the east side
of the mount, pointing south. |
|
All accessories (CCD camera, filter wheel, filters,
actuated cover, shrouds,
collimation
tools and focuser/rotator) are being furnished by Dream for
the customer. The telescope comes with an electronic focuser.
Other items are optional. Ask Dream about the manufacturers we
represent. |

The customer will control this telescope from Colorado. |

 |
The primary mirror comes pre-marked at its optical
center for collimation purposes. |
|
The secondary
size on this telescope was designed to fully illuminate the CCD
chip listed near the top of this page. The entrance pupil, inner
diameter of the front ring, is also slightly larger than the
field of view of this particular CCD chip. The corrector is mainly
the limiting factor, which is why a 4"
custom coma corrector is now offered. The custom corrector
has enough back focus for an Off-Axis Guider (OAG) prior to the
filters. |

The telescope structure
itself includes zip tie points. These are used for attaching
data and power lines from the accessories at the focuser location
to the mounting location (telescope to mount). They are provided
every 8". |
