f3.5 Dream Astrograph |
|
|
|
The 24" Dream Astrograph was redesigned in April
2007 to accomodate a 4" coma corrector and heavier imaging
train. To see the final telescope design, click

The Optical Tube Assembly, which includes an electronic
focuser and 3" coma corrector,
will weigh roughly 110 lbs. |
|
The telescope uses all cellular
mirrors: the 7.75" minor axis secondary
will weigh 2.7 lbs and 24.75" cellular
primary (24.0" clear aperture) will weigh only 35.0
lbs. |
|
The renderings show a rotator between the focuser
and the carbon fiber structure. This accessory is currently under
feasibility evaluation. |

|
Options include shrouds
and actuated covers for all optical
surfaces. Neither are shown in the renderings on this page. |
