Owner's older son, seven years old and ~75 lbs, standing
on a 3.6 pound lower truss assembly for the 12.5" Astrograph. |

The section is upside down. The carbon fiber, yoke-style
mirror cell will be attached on the other side of the octagonal
back plate that he is standing on. |

This section is half of the OTA. It is 15-9/16"
OD by ~22-3/8" tall. All graphite/epoxy fabrication
was done in house, including the truss tubes. |

The section in the grass is the central section that
connects to the top truss assembly. This has a square outer profile
with a round, clear opening that is baffled. This is easier to
see in the enlarged photo at the bottom of this page. |
