The combination of this panel and honeycomb give it
the required stiffness it would need for a roof structure.
Dream can curve honeycomb, without the use of thermoforming,
down to about a five foot diameter. Tighter diameters can be
achieved with thermoforming. A five foot wide true arch would
make an ideal enclosure for a smaller telescope. The telescope
tube can be parked so it's long axis is running the length of
the roll off. Or this same concept can be scaled
up. |

Next will be a 40"x50" panel that uses four
layers of carbon fiber.
Weight of the carbon fiber dry goods is 1113 grams.
Finished panel should weigh approximately 1688 grams. |
