Above is an animation of the elevated floor getting insulation. The heating elements sit below this elevated floor and create an air cavity that allows for air to flow past them, out of the stage right lower (interior) wall and into the top portion of the same wall. The air is exhausted out this upper wall. On the opposite side of the oven air is drawn in at the top and exhausted back into air cavity below the elevated floor. This creates a horizontal air flow inside the oven to help even out the temperatures across the part being cooked.
