have an outer physical diameter of 24.75", a usable optical
diameter of 24.0" and will be 3.625" deep (at outer

The finished mirror will weigh 35.0 lbs. A solid optic
of the same dimensions and focal ratio would weigh 129.5 lbs.
Not having to wait for an extra ~95 lbs of glass to cool is an
enormous design advantage, in a great many ways. |

The other factor that helps this mirror cool down
even faster is the enormous surface area on the back of the mirror.
